President of the Ahwazi National Council and Non-Persian Front meets with Swedish Foreign Minister assistant for Middle East Affairs
A joint delegation from the Ahwazi National Council and Front of the nations occupied by Iran met with the Swedish Foreign Minister assistant in Stockholm on Wednesday, September 11th2019.
The delegation discussed the most urgent issues concerning the possible execution of 22 Ahwazi citizens arrested in 2018 in what is known as the military parade attack in which a number of Iranian occupation guards were killed. The delegation also appealed to the Swedish state and the European Union countries to stop the Ahwazi political prisoners executions. Mr. Salah Abu Sharif, head of the delegation, appealed to the Swedish authorities and through them the European Union to pressure the Iranian state to release hundreds of Ahwazi detainees, who were arrested after the military parade attack, as well as Ahwazi citizens who joined as volunteer with their families during the deliberate floods last spring.
Mr. Salah Abo Sharif handed over a file listing all the names of the Ahwazi citizens sentenced to death, as well as lists of the names of the Ahwazi detainees, most of whom are civil and cultural activists in Ahwaz region.
On the other hand, Mr. Abu Sharif explained about the environmental pollution in Ahwaz and serious diseases rampant among the Ahwazis and leaked of health letter of an official speech delivered by one of the representatives of the occupation in Ahwaz to the Iranian Minister of Health, supported by pictures of one of the victims of these serious diseases and burying them away from the eyes of the people. Referring to the proportion of pollution levels of nuclear radiation as well as chemical and non-drinking water and the failure of the Iranian state to observe the international safety standards in Ahwaz, where Ahwaz has taken a laboratory for its unauthorized purposes,
Abu Sharif also affirmed that the Iranian occupation regime are firing live bullets without prior warning on Ahwazi civilians through temporary checkpoints in neighbourhoods and roads, which resulted in the death of Ahwazi citizens, and the last of which is Ali Al-Rashidi from the Khalafiyeh city.
Mr. Abu Sharif also explained Iran’s crimes in occupied Baluchistan and Iran’s policy of changing demographics and killing Baloch citizens in a systematic policy of changing population in occupied Baluchistan.
For his part, Mr. Taher Mazraa the former prisoner and the secretary of the Central Committee of the Ahwazi Democratic Popular Front, a faction of the National Council and a member of the delegation, explained the Ahwazi politicians suffering and the methods of torture in the cells of the Iranian occupation and ways to deal with them and their families. He showed a short film from inside a prison in Ahwaz showing the prisoners’ tragic situation in their cells.
Mr. Abu Sharif assured the Swedish side that the non-Persian peoples affirm their support for the international boycott and that their stances are in line with the American position. the attack Mr. Abu Sharif insist that attack on commercial and oil vessels in the Arabian Gulf by Iranian terrorist mercenaries is a clear evidence that this country has passed the stage of talks and that it is buying time to complete its nuclear project and it will not stop supporting terrorism, extremists and militias. He stressed that the non-Persian peoples affirmed their support for international resolutions and international law in the face of Iranian policies and will continue to support any international position that stops Iranian terrorism and supports the right of non-Persian peoples to freedom and self-determination.
