Statement Issued by the National Council of the Ahwazi Revolution Forces
The Liberation of Al-Ahwaz Means the Liberation of Bab al-Salam (Hormuz Strait)

In light of the war ignited by the Iranian regime as a result of its expansionist and terrorist policies—policies that have pushed the region to the brink of a wider explosion—and amid the escalating confrontation between it and international powers, accompanied by a dangerous escalation through the use of its militias as tools of aggression and instability;

The National Council of the Ahwazi Revolution Forces affirms that what is unfolding today is a direct consequence of this regime’s approach, rooted in expansionism, domination, and the export of crises, with no regard for the security of the region’s peoples or global stability.

The Iranian occupying authorities have deliberately exploited the Arab Ahwazi Strait of Hormuz as a weapon to blackmail the international community, threatening global energy security and using this vital passage as leverage to impose their aggressive agenda—constituting a blatant violation of all international laws and norms, and a direct challenge to the will of the international community.

We affirm that the Strait of Hormuz is an integral part of the Arab national geography of Al-Ahwaz, and that the continued control of the Iranian occupation over it represents a strategic threat to regional and international security. It further reflects the regime’s intent to transform international waterways into instruments of coercion and political terrorism.

We strongly condemn the repeated Iranian aggression against Arab states, particularly the Gulf countries, which clearly exposes the hostile nature of this regime and its persistent efforts to destabilize the region and ignite conflicts.

In this context, we reaffirm our full support for the positions of the Gulf states, foremost among them the United Arab Emirates, which has called for ensuring freedom of navigation in this vital international waterway and holding the Iranian regime accountable for its continuous violations of international law. We also declare our support for the international coalition established to secure and reopen the Strait, and to put an end to its use as a tool of threat and blackmail.

Accordingly, we emphasize that the liberation of Al-Ahwaz—including its coasts, straits, and strategic outlets, foremost among them the Strait of Hormuz—is no longer merely a national demand, but a regional and international necessity to ensure the security and stability of the region and the world, and to safeguard freedom of navigation in accordance with international laws and norms.

We further call upon the international community to assume its legal and moral responsibilities and to take firm and practical steps to halt these aggressive policies, and to support the right of the Arab people of Al-Ahwaz to self-determination and the restoration of their full national sovereignty.

In conclusion, we renew our pledge to our Ahwazi people that the path of struggle will continue, and that the will for liberation is stronger than all forms of repression and occupation—until the restoration of a free and independent Arab state of Al-Ahwaz.
